traditional Japanese MokuHunga in Awagishima Japan and use a combination of Eastern and Western techniques in the construction of large-scale woodcuts, printed by hand. The imagery is primarily based on the figure in the landscape reflecting experiences derived from the environment. My work grew out of early depictions of ‘new environments’ created by the first European contact with the people and landscaped in Australia, although it is now primarily autobiographical in nature. My work is held in public and private collections both nationally, and internationally
