The Packing Room combines heritage and art into one versatile space that shifts between function and experience.
By day, The Packing Room operates as a working art gallery, showcasing Tasmanian artworks handpicked by our Art Curator. It also serves as the stock room for new artworks arriving on site, and sold artworks to be packed and shipped to new owners.
By night, The Packing Room transforms into an distinctive event space suited to cocktail functions, private luncheons or dinners. The room can accommodate up to 40 guests for cocktail-style events or seated in a long table configuration. It also works well as a breakout room for conferences.
Positioned just off the IXL Atrium, entry is beneath one of the largest glass canopies in the Southern Hemisphere at the Henry Jones Art Hotel.
