The location of the MAC 01 Complex has some serious history. It’s gone from a wharf market, to a shipping shed to Australia’s first storytelling hotel, MACq 01 (notice the addition of that fancy letter q?) Most of the complex is afforded to 114 unique rooms, each telling the story of a Tasmanian character.
The name derives from its location on Macquarie Wharf and the shipping shed known formerly as Macquarie 1. Step inside and you’ll find The Story Bar, Old Wharf Restaurant, Evolve Spirits Bar and The Lounge by Frogmore Creek – all just a short wander from Henry Jones front door.
